Project Description
It’s about collaboration and celebration. Taking on a project, brainstorming with colleagues and clients, producing a video that communicates a message and tells a good story.
I have produced TV, radio and web features, specializing in medicine, science and technology for over 30 years. My work has been seen and heard in 211 countries.
Most recently, I have enjoyed writing physics videos for Georgia Public TV’s Physics in Motion series for public high schools; producing safety training videos for Lazerspot, a national trucking company, and writing web segments for the Centers for Disease Control Tips From Former Smokers.
As CNN’s science correspondent I hosted CNN’s award-winning news magazine show, “Science and Technology Week,” and reported on scientific breakthroughs throughout the United States.
I am honored to have been nominated for two regional Emmies. I received awards from the American Cancer Society, the Maryland Speech, Language and Hearing Association, Sigma Delta Chi, and the Foundation for Biomedical Research, and enjoyed interacting with ace science students as a repeat host of Intel’s International Science Fair awards show.
As a graduate of the University of Virginia, I was the first woman president of the university’s radio station, WTJU-FM. Yes, I’m that old.
Specialties: Producing satellite and internet media tours; writing, producing and editing videos in a variety of high definition digital formats for the broadcast industry and the web.
